Invitation to Apply for Forum Membership

Industry Consultation Forum

Notice: Invitation to Apply for Forum Membership.

The DNTF Oversight and Advisory Board invites eligible industry associations to apply for membership of the Industry Consultation Forum.

1. About the Forum

The Industry Consultation Forum provides a structured platform for industry associations to give input on the Fund’s funding priorities and policy developments, raise sector concerns, and submit recommendations to the Board.

The Forum serves a consultative function only. It has no decision-making authority. All funding decisions remain the responsibility of the Adjudication Committee, with ratification by the Board. Recommendations on funding priorities are prospective. They inform future funding rounds and do not affect decisions already made.

The Forum’s full Terms of Reference, which set out its purpose, governance boundaries, membership and meeting procedures in detail, are available here.

2. Who May Apply

Membership is open to sector bodies and industry associations whose subscriber members are eligible to apply for DNTF funding. This includes those representing community, regional, and independent publishers.

3. What Membership Involves

  • The Forum meets once between funding rounds, in line with the Fund’s annual industry consultation requirement.
  • Meetings are held in a hybrid format: in person at Tshikululu’s offices, Workshop 17, Hyde Park, and online. In-person attendance is on a first-come, first-served basis, as the venue has limited capacity. Travel and accommodation costs are not covered by the Fund. Once the limit is reached, all other Forum members are welcome to join the meeting online.
  • Members give input on funding priorities, focus areas, and sector developments relevant to the Fund.

4. How to Apply

Applicants must complete the Forum Membership Application Form and submit it before the deadline. The application form is available here.

5. Application Deadline

Applications must be submitted by 18 September 2026 at 17:30. Late applications will not be considered.

6. Selection

The Board will review all applications and determine, by resolution, which bodies are accepted as members. Applicants will be notified of the outcome in writing.
